In partnership with Parks Canada, during the week of June 14 2010, students conducted site visits to both Kejimkujik National Park and Georges Island National Historic Site.
At Kejimkujik National Park, the students teamed up in pairs with a PDA device with GPS-enabled information relating to the Park. Called Explora, the hardware and software was developed in 2007 by the French company, Camineo. Students analyzed this portable information device in relation to the park and their overall experience.
Students graphically compared and contrasted the two experiences, using mapping and diagramming techniques.
