In partnership with Parks Canada, during the week of June 14 2011, students conducted site visits to both Kejimkujik National Park and Georges Island National Historic Site.
At Kejimkujik National Park, the students teamed up in pairs with a PDA device with GPS-enabled information relating to the Park. Called Explora, the hardware and software was developed in 2007 by the French company, Camineo. Students analyzed this portable information device in relation to the park and their overall experience.
Students will graphically compare and contrast the two experiences, using mapping and diagramming techniques.

We provide organizations with research results in the form of proposals, reports and prototypes. While our focus is on research and planning, we are happy to put our clients in touch with associates that focus on production. Our costs are determined according to project needs. Our fee is an honorarium, and not a reflection of the true cost of the deliverables. Please contact us to discuss how we can apply our innovative design approach to your organizations’ needs.

| We believe that designers have a responsibility to serve the publics’ interest. Engaged with the world around us, we approach problems holistically. We believe that design is not only about finding solutions, it is also about identifying and re-defining problems. Design is about discovery, exploration and possibility. |
